I love this school! The teachers are experienced and patient. The school is beautiful and located in a town just a few minutes from Antigua which gives you the best of both worlds... the culture and ambiance of beautiful Antigua and yet the quiet quaintness of a true Guatemalan town of Ciudad Viaja. The towns people were super friendly and I felt very safe walking around at all hours of the day and night! The school staff make you feel so completely cared for in every way. The school is very suited to adult learners with one on one classes in the morning with a focus on grammar and vocabulary and outings in the afternoon for conversation and culture. I plan to send my employees who need to improve their Spanish to this school! I feel confident they will meet their language school needs.

If you want a wonderful educational experience in learning Spanish, I suggest that you attend Ciudad Vieja Spanish Academy in Guatemala. At the Academy, I lived with a Guatemalan family and eat Guatemalan food. My experience was very nice and they help me every step of the way with my Spanish. You will depart Guatemala away knowing a lot of Spanish that will help you in your professional work. My learning experience at CVSA was very educational and fun.

I attended classes at Ciudad Vieja Spanish Academy in April 2011. It was a mind blowing experience. The school treated me like part of the family. Señora Olga who was my instructor was excellent. She went above and beyond to help learn Spanish and the Guatemalan culture. The school itself is wonderful, I felt completely safe and at home there. I learned more Spanish than I thought I would in short time I was there. I would suggest anyone who has a chance to study at Ciudad Vieja Spanish Academy to do it, it will be one of the best decisions you will make, it was for me. Thanks you to Señor Taj, the Taj family, and the city of Ciudad Vieja for treating me like a member of the family, I will never forget this experience and I wil return soon. Muchas Gracias

I strongly recommend CVSA. My study abroad experience was incredible, my instructor excellent, and my host, well new Guatemalan family very nice. I was at CVSA during thanks given week 2010 and I will be back  very soon.
