Programs

The Spanish program at CVSA is all private classes, one teacher to one student. All levels are taught, and classes are conducted completely in Spanish and English. Our Instructors are all native Guatemalans and are well educated in the teaching of the Spanish Language and Culture. They are experienced with all levels, from beginners all the way to advanced level. 

Our program emphasizes instruction to immerse in conversation, reading, comprehension, listening, and writing, or in some cases in a specialized vocabulary based on the student major or minor.  The following are some of the Spanish Courses.

To maintain the highest quality of our Spanish Immersion Program, CVSA has incorporated the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) standards into our teaching curriculum. These standards are currently used by thousands of universities and school districts worldwide.

The Spanish Academy course work is or will be aligned with the University Syllabus to provide intellectually challenging students of any programs that meet both individual student needs and the needs of the professional field. Our course work program emphasizes a holistic approach to the undergraduate or graduate experience, encourages and supports the educational aspirations of underrepresented student populations and helps expose students to new ideas and developments within the Hispanic World.   Please contact us if you have questions about the courses or would like to request a syllabus of any of our offerings.
